VP – Automotive Division

Open Road Brands is seeking a Vice President of the Automotive Division who will be responsible for leading the Creative and Sales efforts of the Division. Will hire, train and manage a team to execute the strategy of the Division. Responsible for managing new and existing projects for the category from conception to retail execution. This position is responsible for the forecasting, budgeting and overall strategy of the Division. Work closely with our Leadership Team, Product Development, Design, Sales, Finance, and Operations team to develop and implement programs and items for key licensors, major accounts and strategic partners.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the company’s Automotive sales & business strategy development

  • Participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting the Automotive strategy

  • Execute Quarterly Meetings with Sales Team to review Past Performance and ensure executes on high priority category initiatives

  • Focus Sales Team efforts by studying Customer Sell Through Data.  Identify Winners and Losers as well as profitable items. Work with Finance to send out Quarterly Report to Company and review with Category Managers and Sales Team

  • Update Executive Team and Sales Team monthly with status on Target Distribution Channels, Retailers, Program, and Personal.  Execute Quarterly Sales Meetings with Executive Team and Sales to Strategize

  • Quarterly / Yearly / Multi-Year Sales Growth Strategy:  Identify Target Distribution Channels, Retailers, and programs.  Create budget for each and implement a focused Product Development and Sales Plan to achieve Revenue goals

  • Create a Multi-Year Divisional Personal Plan in line with coverall Company Sales Plan and Initiatives

  • Outline specific goals and KPI’s for Sales, Marketing, and E-Commerce Team.  Track, Monitor, improve performance, and Mentor Team

  • Implement On-Boarding / Training process for Team Personal to create a Scalable Growth Model for the Division

  • Execute Strategic Partnership and Alliances with Sales Rep Groups, Online Influencers, Niche Enthusiast Groups, Licensors, Manufacturers, and Retailers

  • Work directly with Finance and Operations to make Inventory purchasing decisions based on Demand and Capacity

  • Create Promotional Product line and work with Sales to Execute Strategy

  • 5-7+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development (preferred within Auto industry)

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is preferred

  • Deep understanding of the ecommerce, retail and wholesale landscape in U.S. with prior interactions with sellers and distributors is desirable

  • Experience selling products/services into international markets is desirable

  • Previous responsibility for strategic development, product management or product marketing

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Prior experience influencing C-level executives highly desirable

  • Oracle NetSuite experience preferred

  • Demonstrated active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented

  • Proven analytic track record

Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities. Comfortable working with complex data across multiple sources to inform and develop actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
