The Licensing Expo, in essence, is the meeting place for the global licensing industry. It connects the world’s most influential entertainment, character, fashion, art and corporate brand owners and agents with consumer goods manufacturers, licensees and retailers. Six Open Road Brands employees attended the 35th annual Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 9-11, 2015.
While at the expo, Open Road Brands enjoyed seeing a sneak peek of the Secret Life of Pets movie and The Peanuts Movie, movie event updates for Captain America: Civil War and a life size display of Batman’s Batmobile. However, Batman and Captain American weren’t the only prominent superheroes highlighted at the event. With several superhero movies debuting in the next five years, DC Comics and Marvel superheroes were especially abundant this year. Thus, meeting with licensors throughout the expo played a critical roll in helping our team understand the direction each licensor is pursuing long term and allows Open Road Brands to continue to develop our partnerships in the future.
“Although I work with our licensors on a daily basis, the Licensing Expo provided a fresh perspective on how we can support their upcoming movies, events and product lines,” said Karen Young, licensing manager.
Open Road Brands employees Jenise Moen, Morgan Jonas and Karen Young know that Disney Princess will never go out of style.
